How We Evaluate and Compare Nurseries Across the UAE

Our Mission

The Nursery Directory was created to help parents discover, compare and shortlist nurseries across the UAE. Choosing a nursery is one of the most important decisions parents make during their child's early years, and there is no single nursery that is perfect for every family.

The platform serves families across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, bringing nursery information together in one clear, easy-to-compare place.

How Nurseries Are Selected

The Nursery Directory aims to include nurseries from across the UAE. The selection process is designed to ensure that only active, relevant nurseries are displayed.

• Nurseries may be sourced from publicly available information and direct submissions.
• Nurseries from all emirates may be included.
• Only active nurseries are displayed on the website.
• Profiles may be updated, added or removed as information changes.
• Archived or inactive nurseries are excluded from listings.
• Information is reviewed periodically.

Important: Every family has different priorities when choosing a nursery. Parents should always consider curriculum, location, facilities, schedules and their own requirements before making a decision.

What Does "Best Nursery" Mean?

There is no universal definition of the best nursery. Families may prioritise location, curriculum, fees, facilities, outdoor spaces, languages, communication, transport, operating hours or the overall atmosphere of the setting.

"A nursery that is ideal for one family may not necessarily be the best choice for another."

Parents can explore the best nurseries in Dubai or the best nurseries in Abu Dhabi to begin comparing options based on their own priorities.

How Rankings and Recommendations Work

Rankings and recommendations may consider the following factors:

• Curriculum
• Parent reviews
• Facilities
• Age groups served
• Languages
• Location and accessibility
• Popularity within the platform
• Available information and overall profile completeness

The Nursery Directory does not sell editorial rankings. Featured placement does not guarantee editorial recommendation. Verification status and featured placement provide additional context about the information available for a nursery profile.

Parents are encouraged to conduct their own research and visit nurseries before making a final decision. Our compare nurseries tool makes it easier to evaluate multiple options side by side.

How Reviews Are Considered

• Public reviews can provide useful context.
• Reviews reflect individual experiences.
• Ratings should not be the only factor when choosing a nursery.
• Parents should combine reviews with visits and personal priorities.

"Reviews provide perspective, but they should never replace a personal visit."

How Nursery Information Is Updated

The Nursery Directory regularly reviews nursery profiles to help parents access accurate and relevant details. Information may include curriculum, location, fees, age groups, facilities, transport, languages and opening hours.

• Information may change over time.
• Profiles may be updated periodically.

We encourage nurseries to notify us of any changes to ensure information remains accurate. Parents can also explore British nurseries in Dubai to compare curriculum options and verified profiles.

How Nursery Information Is Reviewed

The Nursery Directory regularly reviews nursery information to help parents access accurate and relevant details.

Nursery profiles may be updated as information changes, and some profiles may include additional verification completed by The Nursery Directory team.

We encourage nurseries to contact us if they would like to update or correct any information displayed on the platform.

Our Recommendation

• Visit multiple nurseries.
• Speak to teachers.
• Observe the environment.
• Ask questions.
• Compare options.
• Trust your instincts.

"There is no substitute for visiting a nursery in person."

Whether you are exploring EYFS nurseries, Montessori nurseries, or specific communities like JVC or Dubai Hills, the most important step is seeing the environment for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does The Nursery Directory verify nurseries?

Nurseries with a verification badge have been visited by The Nursery Directory team and have undergone an additional verification process. Verification provides parents with additional context about the nursery profile but does not represent an editorial ranking.

What does the verification badge mean?

A verification badge indicates that the nursery has been visited and reviewed by The Nursery Directory team. Parents should still consider curriculum, location, facilities and their family's individual needs when making a decision.

Does featured placement affect rankings?

Featured nurseries may include additional profile information, but featured status does not guarantee editorial recommendation or determine which nursery is best for every family.

How often is nursery information updated?

Nursery information may be reviewed and updated periodically as details change. We encourage nurseries to notify us whenever important information changes.

How are nursery statistics calculated?

Nursery profiles are reviewed regularly to help parents access accurate and relevant details.

Can nurseries request profile updates?

Yes. Nurseries can contact The Nursery Directory to request updates or corrections to their profile information.

What does "visited by our team" mean?

Visited nurseries have been physically visited by The Nursery Directory team as part of the verification process.

Are all nurseries listed on the platform?

The Nursery Directory operates across all emirates in the UAE, and nurseries are added as profiles become available.
