What Parents Should Look for in Abu Dhabi Nurseries

ADEK Compliance

Ensure the nursery is fully licensed and compliant with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) regulations. This is the baseline for all nurseries in Abu Dhabi. You can also use The Nursery Directory to compare nurseries in Abu Dhabi and shortlist options that meet your evaluation criteria.

Teacher Qualifications

Ask about the specific qualifications of the educators. High-quality nurseries will proudly share their staff's credentials. Use our platform to compare nurseries and their teaching standards.

Cultural Inclusivity

Abu Dhabi is a melting pot of cultures. Look for a nursery that celebrates diversity and offers a welcoming environment for all nationalities, often highlighted in our featured nurseries section.

Facilities

Check the balance of indoor and outdoor space. Especially during the hotter months, robust indoor soft-play and learning areas are crucial. Families exploring specific communities, such as those reading our guide to nurseries in Khalifa City or our guide to nurseries in Al Reem Island, should pay particular attention to outdoor shade and indoor activity options.
